Sky: Sky Q

So, here it is. The first in a campaign for Sky for their new “Sky Q” service. This job was mammoth, I spent 6 months working on this bad-boy, my first foray into the crazy world of FLIP fluids in Houdini.

Things of note: gas surface tension, viscosity and particle separation are very important and need to be carefully balanced. VDB and attribute transfer are a God-send.

This job really pushed us and if it weren’t for stupid jokes about #baguettes we’d never have made it out with our sanity. A special shoutout to my FX Lead, Christos Parliaros, for his patience with my many, many, many questions and his awesome custom tools that made this job a whole lot easier to manage.
